Description

From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes a classic piece of Australian rock history, of interest to fans of The Angels. The Moonshine Jug and String Band. Keep You On The Move EP. Australian pressing. 1973. The Sphere Organisation. NCP 127. Tracks are: Keep You On The Move and On The Road Again on Side 1 and Tell My Friends and Mad Mandy on Side 2. Although this record was released in 1973, the  Moonshine Jug and String Band were formed by the  Brewster Brothers, John and Rick, in 1970; the following year, they were joined by Bernard “Doc” Neeson. Neeson originally went under the name Doc Talbot as he did in this release. This EP was released by The Sphere Organisation with serial number NCP 127. Overall, the record is Good Plus – Side A is Very Good Plus with very minor scratches and marks that don’t affect play. On Side 2, there’s a scrape-like mark that doesn’t affect play and a scratch that extends across the second track – the only effect during play is five “clicks”. Otherwise on both sides, it plays with very little to no surface noise. The paper sleeve is black with Apple printed on it; I have no idea if this is the correct sleeve. NOTE ON SHIPPING: In these COVID times, there have been problems with international shipping from Australia beyond slow, or no, air mail. I’ve had a parcel to the UK damaged and another that was diverted from air mail to sea mail and, three months later, appears no closer to reaching Europe. Until things improve, I’m shifting to Express Air Mail. More expensive but if you’re bidding for a record you want to enhance the probability of getting it in good order. The other option is for Standard Air Mail but buyer pays for full insurance and the correct value of the record is noted on the customs form, which some buyers have been reluctant to do in the past.
