Description
Hi - you are bidding on a record so RARE that not many people know it exists - This is the 1992 Dance Pool (Sweden) pressing of Morgan King 'I Am Free' under his 'La Serrena' guise. This record is one of two places where you can find both the Full Length La Serrena mix and the Playdoh Minimalistic mix of 'I Am Free' that were used by Sasha & John Digweed on Northern Exposure volume 1. The other is the first pressing - again from 1992, and on another Swedish label, namely BTech.
Of course, you can also find the 'Original Full Length La Serrena mix' on the 1993 Om Records pressing, which also featured mixes by Leftfield - but to ensure you have BOTH mixes used by Sasha & Diggers, you'll need either the BTech release or the Dance Pool release.
I actually went on myspace and got in touch with Morgan King - I asked if the Dance Pool and BTech releases had exactly the same mixes (ie the mixes used by S&D) - here's what he had to say:
''Hi Rich, Thanks for getting in touch.
Yes my friend you are correct...Sahsa mixed Playdo's mix with the original and also the Dance Pool vesion and the BTech version are one and the same!
Jan (Btech owner and my partner in Clubland) Had this habit of changing titles which has come back to bite me on the arse!
When I sent him my label copy I registered the track as "I Am Free" he (Jan) decided to put "I'm Free" which him being Swedish did not get the John Inman "Are you being served" connection, but as Morrisey said in a song, "I can laugh about it now but at the time it was terrible"!
I will also provide links to both the BTech and Dance Pool releases below - please remember that although the titles of the tracks differ slightly, YOU GET BOTH TRACKS USED BY SASHA & DIGWEED ON NORTHERN EXPOSURE 1
VINYL IN MINT CONDITION
SLEEVE IN VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) CONDITION

Now here's a link to the BTech release - note that the track titles are slightly different - but essentially the Dance Pool release and the BTech release are the same. The 'radio edit' is omitted from the Dance Pool release.
