From my own personal vinyl collection, I remember buying this at the time of release from an ad placed in NME, it's purchase having been recommended as an investment. I think it cost around £13 at the time and was amazed when it arrived in the post...
Both album and single are in their original plastic wrappers and have never been played (unlike the UK album release which I still have and was very much regularly on the turntable). The wrapper was only carefully opened a few years ago to check the contents, and replaced in careful storage since in my pet free and smoke free home.
It's time for this copy to become part of another collection now.
This is a rare copy of EMI CP 32-5611 (barcode T4988 006 62245) released in Japan complete with obi strip - Morrissey's Viva Hate Vinyl LP together with a 7" promotional one-sided single featuring Hairdresser on Fire. I have not categorised the condition in official terms, and have described the item as used because I have opened the plastic wrapper but neither have been played and the set is in truly excellent condition.
