The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

Morrissey vinyl LPs are becoming harder and harder to obtain in collectable condition, as copies in good condition are increasingly bought up by Morrissey and Smiths collectors. This auction is for two such LPs which are each unplayed and in terrific condition as they have both been carefully stored since having been bought new by myself. The first of these is the first UK pressing of 'Years Of Refusal', which was a studio album released in 2009. It is far less common than its CD counterpart and seems to appear less frequently for sale than the US vinyl LP pressing, suggesting that it may have been pressed in smaller numbers in the UK. It is packaged with a well-designed inner sleeve (see photos) which was printed on high-quality textured thick paper and has been stored in near mint condition throughout (see below). The second album is titled 'Under The Influence' and is not strictly a Morrissey LP, since it contains no Morrissey tracks, but rather an interesting compilation of tracks chosen by Morrissey himself; the tracks being by artists who have influenced his music. The playlist makes for fascinating listening, and there are many surprise choices in there. This is a double LP and is quite difficult to find on vinyl, suggesting that it was not pressed in high numbers. Of particular interest to collectors is the Morrissey sleeve artwork in which he is photographed in front of 'The Grave Maurice' from the same session that yielded the sleeve artwork for the 'Sunny' single.The heavyweight vinyl and labels of 'Years Of Refusal' are in near mint condition, remaining unplayed and highly glossy with only the occasional superficial surface mark when held to the light. The inner and outer sleeves are also in near mint condition, with no creases, writing, damage or any signs of wear; all corners and edges are sharp and there is no seam-splitting due to the record having been stored outside of its sleeve from new. Both records for 'Under The Influence' are in mint condition, having been carefully stored and never played. The outer sleeve is in near mint condition, with only the very mildest of corner 'rubbing' in a few places which is barely visible. There is no writing or damage anywhere on the sleeve and the edges/spine are sharp and unworn. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the items themselves.
