From Capitol Records (ST 2876), this is THE BEATLES SONGBOOK
VOLUME 5 by THE HOLLYRIDGE STRINGS (Arranged
and Conducted by MORT GARSON), an original (first) US pressing
from about 1969. Jacket is NEAR MINT MINUS; LP is about EX and better
playing with no distortion, no startling pops or clicks and no skips. Highly
recommended.
Wherever possible we house our vinyl in Mobile Fidelity Sound
Lab inner sleeves for the ultimate in protection; we use 6-mil
outer sleeves or polyester both being the finest protection
available for LP jackets.

Personnel & Instrumentation:
The Hollyridge Strings were an assemblage of interchangeable studio musicians who recorded a number of easy listening albums for Capitol Records during the era of the British invasion. On this listing (volume 5), Mort Garson arranged and conducted the strings. Their specialty was Beatles' songs; The Hollyridge Strings under various conductors had a number of Billboard Top 20 entries and inspired many copycats like The Fantabulous Strings, The Castaway Strings and The Sunset Strings.
