THE MORWELLS from Jamaica are a talented group who set fashions for others to follow. "KINGSTON 12 TOUGHIE" is the third L.P. from this long established group. Maurice Wellington (alias Blacka) the leader, has been involved in Reggae Music for many years as an engineer / producer / writer and artist and should be given credit for many hits he produced for the JOE GIBBS label, including many with the group "CULTURE". His partner, Eric Lammont (alias Bingy Bunny) is Jamaica's most creative rhythm guitarist and is in constant demand for session work. He has played on countless hits and is also a very talened singer. This album features the hits 'BIT BY BIT' and 'KINGSTON 12 TOUGHIE' plus seven other prime examples of 80's Roots Reggae, recorded at CHANNEL ONE studio with the cream of Jamaica's session players. Kingston 12 (trenchtown) is one of the Roughest areas in Jamaica, so beware play the music loud and clear. -Ralph Mann
