Description

This is for one vinyl Sheffield LP number TLP-27 in  EXC condition.

Sheffield was one of the earlier labels to help create a new market for high-quality audiophile-oriented recordings. Nautilus, Mobile Fidelity, and others were also in this market.

Later, many of the large labels saw the success of smaller start ups like Telarc, Sheffield, Sonic Arts, and others, and created audiophile series within their catalogs. Angel had the "45 Angel Sonic Series," RCA had their .5 Series (half-speed masters), CBS had their Half-Speed Mastered series, and so on.

This represents SOTA at the end of the Age of LPs.

I WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FOR COVER CONDITION ISSUES. I have come to the conclusion that there are two major categories of LP collectors: Those that collect for the music on the LP and how it sounds, and those that collect them as objects. Those that collect them as objects want the covers in near "museum" quality. I ask that those folks keep moving. While I will try to list major flaws on covers, I am trying to move a large amount of LPs out of my house as quickly and efficiently as possible.

These are 40+ years old in most cases. There will potentially be minor flaws on the covers (just as there were when LPs were all you could get. Look at any magazine rack and you will see bends and creases and wear on brand new magazine covers. It was the same then.) such as shelf wear or ring wear (Especially on imports whose covers are mostly thinner).
