The Mothers Of Invention:  "Cruising With Ruben & The Jets"           

Frank Zappa, Ian Underwood and Company on Verve V6 5055-X.    

US pressing (1968 Reissue) in Stereo, with gatefold jacket.

Black and silver Verve labels.

Lord knows that the exact vintage of early Zappa albums can be difficult to ascertain.  Based on my homework, I believe this release to be a late 1968 reissue.  The key identifiers are summarized below:

Front of jacket reads:  ®&© Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc./Printed in U.S.A.

Black and silver colored labels read: V6-5055x

Front & rear covers and spine read:  V6 5055-X

Labels:  Tracks read: "Frank Zappa Music" over "A Div. of Third Story Music"

Matrix / Runout (Runout/Side A/etched): V6-5055-X SIDE 1 MGS-1532-RE1  (The etched word "SIDE" in all caps)

Matrix / Runout (Runout/Side B/etched): V6 5055 X Side 2 MGS1533            (The etched word "Side" not in all caps)

Vinyl:  Near Mint

The wax looks and plays like new.  Faint surface noise audible between some tracks but not during songs.  Very clean, wonderful sound on this well recorded album.

High gloss on both sides.  Very light paper scuffs can be seen under bright light but do not impact the listening experience.  

Labels are bright and clean.  No spindle marks.

Jacket:  EX 

Jacket is in superb condition.  Only the modest ring wear present at the top of the front and back covers keeps me from citing the jacket as Near Mint.

Seams and spine are primo, in Near Mint condition.

No stickers nor writing.

You will be hard pressed to find a finer copy of this Zappa classic that isn't sealed.  Hoping it goes to a good home.
