Description

An original 1st press of 'THE HOOPLE' on the UK BS label. Matrix A3/B2. The vinyl comes housed in an original over. Also included is the original lyric insert and the generic white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Difficult to find fault really. Track after track of classics rendered with poise and little interference. Don't forget CBS were more than capable of pressing a high quality record during this period. The only tracks I detected consistent background was during 'Trudi's Song' & 'Looking Glass'. These are the fussiest low-key tracks and finding them perfectly clean is a difficult find. Anything audible will be relatively low in the mix and not distracting. There were also a couple of brief ticks during 'Looking Glass'. Overall, it's a really well preserved copy and you can hear it in the audio. 
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Difficult to find in top class condition - but this example is in extremely rude health. Totally unaffected by light fade with all colours looking bold and untarnished. Front and back are clean and flat without creasing or wear. The only thing I can vaguely make out is a very slight impression along the foot of the front. There's almost no sign of edge wear at all and the openings are still sharp. The spine is nothing short of astonishing - absolutely 100% perfect. No ageing - not a whiff of wear. Truly a one-off. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Insert (Ex) No issues. Very nice.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits.
