Description
Mott The Hoople's first album on Island Records,this is a rare Island pink label pressing and an INCREDIBLE album.
*Please note: I have been a bit too harsh on the grading of my British pressings and have to go over them again. If you have any questions about a record you might be interested in,just ask.
I saw Mott The Hoople at the Fillmore East where they opened for Traffic,this album just came out a few weeks before and they were a great live band.
Saw them many times afterwards,including the infamous Uris Theatre shows with a fairly new band by the name of Queen opening up for them…..I always preferred this original version of Mott.
The condition of the record is a modest VG++,some might grade it EX. It has scattered light scratches on both sides (nothing deep)…I am being too harsh on this one.
It plays fine and is a very hard album to find in this condition.
This albums mirror like sheen is brilliant (see scans).
The cover is in VG++ condition, there is edge wear and a tear at the bottom of the rear cover on the bottom right (see scans)….If it wasn't for the tear,this album cover would be Excellent+ condition.
I've been collecting records for over 54 years now and this album is from my personal collection.
