Beschreibung: Mit Shout at the Devil katapultierten sich Mötley Crüe an die Spitze der Hardrock- und Metal-Szene der 80er. Das zweite Album ist härter, düsterer und aggressiver als das Debüt und machte die Band endgültig berühmt – nicht zuletzt wegen ihres provokanten Images.
Der Titelsong Shout at the Devil ist ein wuchtiger Metal-Klassiker, getragen von Nikki Sixx’ markantem Bassfundament und Vince Neils eindringendem Gesang. Looks That Kill wurde zur MTV-Rotationshymne und vereint scharfe Riffs mit eingängigem Refrain. Mit dem Beatles-Cover Helter Skelter zollt die Band ihren Vorbildern Tribut und verleiht dem Song eine bedrohliche, metallische Note. Red Hot und Ten Seconds to Love treiben das Album mit ungestümer Energie nach vorne.
