Description
Up for sale today is Vista Records’ rare stereo version of Muscle Beach Party, the soundtrack from the 1964 beach movie of the same name starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon. I’ve owned this album since the early 1980s, though haven’t listened to it very often, which is a shame, since it’s a pretty decent album for the time, especially the title track sung by Annette. After listening to it again, I thought about keeping it, but I’m trying to get my record collection down to 100 albums so it has to go.
I’m rating the vinyl and cover on this VG. The album has some moderate surface noise but nothing that distracts from the listening experience. I listened to this through headphones and speakers and enjoyed it both times. Those vertical and horizontal bars you see in the photos of the vinyl are only reflections. The cover is a little scuffed but has no tears or creases. There’s a minor bit of flaking on the top and bottom spines.
