All of them will be professionally cleaned before being sent.

Please don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any. Thanks very much for looking !

Up for auction here is a Uk first pressing of the 1970 soundtrack album to the film Zabriskie Point which has music by Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, John Fahey amongst others. Released in the Uk on MGM records?– catalogue number MGM-CS-8120 . This is a first pressing with A1 and B1 matrix numbers, first press catalogue numbers and a flipback Garrod and lofthouse sleeve. It is in superb condition throughout and has barely been played.

Matrix / Runout (A) MGS 2154-1 and MGS 2155-2 The mother stampers are 1R and 1L. These are first press matrix numbers and stampers.

The vinyl is visually in Stunning condition and has obviously been barely played. I would grade it as visually being in very strong Excellent + condition , a superb example. If i am being hyper fussy there is a very faint superficial mark at the end of side 1 which is barely noticeable under a strong light. The audio is also brilliant and plays through superbly without any skips or jumps. There is some normal light background crackle and a couple of barely noticeable ticks and pops but overall it was a superb listen and I would grade the audio as a strong Excellent+. It was an absolute pleasure to listen to. The Floyd tracks in particular are really great.

The Labels are in awesome condition with some light spindle marks which shows how little this has been played . I would grade them also as a strong Excellent.

The Original Garrod and lofthouse flipback sleeve has some normal light signs of wear but is still a nice example. The spine is clearly legible. It is laminate to the front. There is some light creasing at the front top however I would grade it as Excellent.

The record comes with its original inner sleeve with patent number 1125555.

Overall a superb copy of this classic lp.

I use Record Collector ratings to grade my vinyl. These are :

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
