Description
If your reading this you probably know what this single represents.if not I will explain.
At the back end of may 1960 Darren young worked under the name Johnny gentle and was managed by the legendary manger Larry parnes. During this period it was common for these artists to go out on mini tours and one such tour took Johnny gentle to Scotland with a backing band called the silver Beatles this band was John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and on drums, Tommy Moore. On one occasion, Johnny gentle mentioned to John Lennon that he was having trouble with the middle eight of a song that he was working on so John gave him a hand rewriting the middle eight bars of “I’ve just fallen for someone”.
John wrote the lines”you know that we’ll get by just wait and see, just like the song tells us the best things in life are free”
John also supplied tune for this section also.this single is regarded as the first Beatles collaboration to be released although uncredited.
This particular copy is in top condition and would grade at the top end of EX lovely sheen and nice clean labels a true joy.
Interestingly most EMI demos of the period normally have JR for demos this copy just has a J as its stamper codes to both sides.
Audio wise brilliant I would guess that this copy can’t have been played more than a handful of times and plays with no crackle skips, jumps or repeats silent run in and out plays beautifully would grade audio as NM.
In conclusion a rare piece of Beatles history I’ve included some good photos please use them as part of the description.
