PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
WILDLY RARE first pressing from 1989 on Caroline with original printed inner sleeve with complete lyrics!!! LP is VG+/VG++ with a few light paper scuffs. Cover is a nice VG with a small price tag in the top right hand corner on the front. Even includes the original custom barcoded Reckless Records (represent, Chicago!) info labels dated July of 2010 stating "NO VINYL REISSUES ON RAYGUN VINYL" which, at the time (almost 12 years ago), was true!!! Haunted Town Records would remedy that situation a few years later on many colors of vinyl but this first pressing from 1989 is by far the most desirable. Even includes the original Reckless receipt from when I purchased this LP at their Wicker Park location on October 7, 2010 (along with a Dungen LP and Thee Oh Sees 7"!)!!! Airtight provenance so don't sleep. Raygun are FINALLY getting some long overdue recognition as of late after they were outed as THE band that changed the course of a then-teenaged Dave Grohl's life when he witnessed the power and fury of a Raygun show at the still-functioning Cubby Bear on the north side here in Chicago while visiting from Virginia. He described the ride long ride home to Virgina as the dividing line in his life, forever altered by what he had witnessed. Dave finally returned the favor when he asked the band to open for Foo Fighters at a sold-out Wrigley Field (across the street, not-so-coincidentally, from the Cubby Bear) a few years ago. Legends within the city limits but a mostly undiscovered gem to the rest of the world, this LP saw the band at the height of their powers. Invest now as Dave's new book lays all this out in forensic detail and it's selling well. Once more people start investigating, these original pressings will be very in-demand and very hard to find. You've been warned.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED)
NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE
VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
