Old eBay prices: £42 + €40 + £37. With the band is Russell Lax of punk band POP RIVETS. This brilliant punk powerpop 7” cocktail was never released in the UK where the band hailed from. It was only made available in a small dose in Germany where it criminally sank without trace. The NAMES sing that they are ‘Too Cool To Dance’, and looking at the great front cover photo, I can't really argue with them on that one. Original first pressing, issued on the ‘GeeBeeDee’ label in 1980 (catalogue number GBD 001 S). Although they never troubled the charts, this powerpop punk trio surly would have given the JAM a run for their money had they been given the airing they deserved on this outing! They sound similar to the SCREEN GEMZ and the LETTERS and if you don't like those then you are already dead and need to see someone elses auctions, not mine..... so please leave the room now! Just try and sit still when listening to the brilliant A-sider ‘Too Cool To Dance’. Crammed-full with summertime melodies, topped with fantastic backing vocals and loud JAM influenced guitar riffs plus it has great hit potential. You can hear this as the highlight on the POWERPEARLS #2 sampler but as you know all these records sound better on 7“ form just as nature intended and locked up in your collectors cabinet. Both the B-siders are top produced melody-makers, again choka-block full with sparkling melodies and fantastic vocals. TO BID IS TO BUY IT, TO WIN IS TO LOVE IT. Mailing / Versand: all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits (alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden). All records will be shipped in special record mailers. Two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending. Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt.
Payment / Bezahlung: via PayPal. All orders which exceed a value of €15 or £12 or $16 will only be sent by registered mail. This requires the buyer to pay an additional of €2,50 or £2.50 or $3.00.
