NAT RUS & RANKING GLAD(STONE) - Mash It / NAT RUS - Come From Africa, Africa (Nat Rus Pre-Edition) - 12" - c1978

Well used and somewhat abused copy of this rare Tony Owens-produced Nat Rus Special Pre-Edition 12" featuring Nat Rus' Mash It, which segues into Ranking Glad(stone)'s toasting cut, and Come From Africa, which is accompanied by its tuff dub. Back-to-back heavyweight killers. I remember finding this particular record in a box of records that were all sleeveless, so there are numerous surface marks, many of which are superficial, plus many scuffs and scratches - some quite prominent. I have included a clip of each side which illustrate the worst of these, so please bear in mind that sections do play a little better. A rare record that has seen better days, hence the sensible start price.

A-side: There is a significant amount of crackle throughout the track with moderate background surface noise and prominent pops and clicks. Plays through without sticking or jumping. Grade - G

B-side: There is a moderate amount of crackle throughout the track with smallish-to-moderate background surface noise and prominent pops and clicks. Plays through without sticking or jumping. Grade - G+

Labels: There are soundman markings on both labels (see scan).
