I don't have to tell you how great this record is, but I will say it anyway. This is one of the all-time great violin recordings ever made in any era by any player. Milstein is just at his best here and the recording is just stunning. This is an original copy (1956? 57?) on the green and gold FDS label, and it is in just lovely condition. The disc has some very very slight paper scuffing here and there but it plays almost flawlessly. A tiny tiny crackle between a couple of tracks, maybe. I heard a few light ticks on the Nová?ek number, but just a few and they were light. Otherwise this copy seems to play without any issues. A totally unbelievable sound. The cover has seam splits at the top and the bottom, about 1/3 across the top and 1/2 across the bottom. There is a little writing on the back and a music library stamp. Otherwise the cover is actually quite nice, with nice shine and beautiful unmolested artwork. This is a very nice copy, if not absolutely perfect.
