Description

For sale: A very rare Icelandic heavy progressive psych rock album called Magic Key by a great band called Náttúra (translation: nature).

This is the original Icelandic issue from 1972, issued by the band's own private label with the catalogue number NTR 008. This is not a re-issue.

This album is listed in Pokora with 4 stars.

This is the only album Náttúra ever issued.

  • Shady Owens - lead vocals (Óðmenn, Hljómar, Trúbrot)
  • Björgvin Gislasson - lead guitar (Pelican, Paradís, Póker, Pops, Friðryk)
  • Karl J. Sighvatsson - organ, piano, Moog (Trúbrot, Þursaflokkurinn, Flowers, Dátar)
  • Sigurður Árnason - bass (Friðryk)
  • Ólafur Garðarsson - drums (Óðmenn, Trúbrot)
"Owens, Sighvatsson and Garðarsson had previously all been members of Trúbrot. Their album was recorded in London in October 1972 and is extremely hard to locate nowadays! The record is in a VG/VG+ condition. Visually I would rate it VG (possibly VG-). Has some surface marks and superficial scratches, especially on side 2. But after listening to the album I would definitely rate it VG+ (possibly EX-). Sounds terrific with practically no sound defects.

The cover is in a VG/VG+ condition. A blue name tag in the bottom left corner on the front side. A vague ringmark, mostly visible on the top of the front side. Overall a very nice cover with just a minor wear. Great condition considering it's age. Please look at the pictures to make your own assessment.

This album is a real gem and very hard to find in such nice condition. A great find for collectors of rare prog-rock.
