NAZZ III, NAZZ NAZZ & NAZZ on Original SGC LABEL (NM- VINYL - SUPER RARE)

 Since 1999, I have sold about 15,000 rare, collectors and hard-to-find titles mostly between the ’60s through the ’80 British pop scene. The vast majority of records that I have sold has been from the late ‘60s to the mid-‘70s of hard-to-find groups that seem to have gotten lost through time. To me this is what drives me on; to find new “old” groups that I never knew existed. I know a lot about all kinds of music (including classical) including but it seems every time I plough through stacks of these records at my dealers, I realize how much I don’t know when I find groups that are a new revelation to me. I have an insatiable desire for knowledge as each of these unknown groups (at least to me) helps to satisfy that!

* Many dealers portray the VPI record cleaning machine as the magic elixir that when applied to a used record, it will magically make a used record sound like a new one. There is no magic here since each record presents new challenges but a lot of erroneous assumptions which lead to unrealistic expectations. The only tried and true method to clean records is to clean with a record machine and play and repeat that process over and over again using the fluid, brush and pad to initially clean the record of debris and residue of previous liquids and then use your stylus as it wiggles in the groove to loosen the dirt followed by the repetition of that process. Some records require just a cleaning or two and others could require numerous cleanings. It all depends on the amount of built-up crud in the grooves. I sell primarily records that are 30 to 50 years old and without knowing how these records have been cleaned over the years but accepting that affordable record-cleaning machines have been around only for about 20 years, some records can be a challenge.  If you are serious about vinyl, you really need to check into either a Nitty-Gritty or a VPI machine to preserve your collection for a lifetime.

VG (- or +), VG+ or VG++ = EX, NM-/NM

NAZZ III, NAZZ NAZZ and NAZZ on ORIGINAL SGC VINYL

I bought these three from the same dealer almost 30 years ago but I am liquidating them as part of the 15,000 records that gotta go. Look at the pictures and read what I write below about them very carefully.

NAZZ III

COVER is close to NM-.  There is a litle thumb creasing on the BACK top left but very little 'use' wear in the seams. There are no rips, tears of splits in the seams and MINIMAL thumb paperboard breakdown at the slit opening.

The VINYL is NM- or very close to it from a visual inspection under a strong light. There are a few blems but I could not identify any scratches. I have not played this record in 20 years.

NAZZ NAZZ

The COVER is not quite as good as NAZZ III. Note the scraping on the both sides of the slit opening but it blends in with the  art work and is hard to identify. There are no rip, tears of splits in the seams and the slit opening has very little thumb breakdown of the paperboard.

The VINYL is VG++. Under a strong light you can see some scuffing, blems and hairline scratches here and there but when I played it with my V-15 III and 9.1 Music Hall, I heard very little. Of course there are some occasional 'ticks' but the record is 43 years old and in use. It sounds SUPER!

NAZZ

The COVER has the most wear of the three. It is so hard to reduce the condition to a nonsensical two letter code so I won't. Look at the pics. You can see the wear on the FRONT and BACK. There are no rips, tears or splits in the  seams but there is some wear in the corners and here and there on the sides.  This is the UNIPACK gatefold so there is no slit opening.

The VINYL is VG++ at least with a few hairline scratches but one has to look really hard to find the issues.

ALL THREE RECORDS ARE IN SUPER SHAPE. They are not perfect but since they are originals and have OUTSTANDING sound ( I have my notes from the last time I played NAZZ III which noted that) I had no problems with any of these discs.
