Absolutely outstanding Supraphon collector’s box dedicated to the romantic chamber music of Antonín Dvořák, performed by some of the finest Czech chamber musicians and ensembles, including the Suk Trio, Dvořák Quartet and Vlach Quartet.
This is a very special high-quality Supraphon presentation: seven previously released Supraphon stereo LPs with their original sleeves and artwork, housed together in a beautiful cloth-bound box with full-colour cover. The records and jackets were made in Czechoslovakia, while the outer box and booklet were made for the German market.
Also included is the original sixteen-page saddle-stitched booklet with extensive German notes.
A genuinely impressive archive box — complete, beautifully preserved and of exceptional collector quality.
Vinyl: NM++ (Near Mint++) All seven records are in truly exceptional Near Mint++ condition. Clean, glossy, fresh and beautifully preserved throughout. The vinyl looks barely played, possibly unplayed, with superb surfaces and outstanding visual presentation.
This is the finest kind of Supraphon vinyl condition one can realistically hope to find: deep gloss, clean surfaces and archive-like preservation.
Original LP Jackets / Sleeves: NM (Near Mint) All original Supraphon LP jackets are beautifully preserved: clean, fresh, glossy and with strong, vivid colours. The artwork still looks bright and elegant. These are not tired or faded sleeves, but genuinely attractive collector examples.
Booklet: NM++ (Near Mint++) The original booklet is crisp, fresh and wonderfully preserved. Clean pages, strong paper quality and a remarkably fresh appearance. A superb original insert, beautifully kept.
Outer Box: VG++ (Very Good++) The cloth-bound outer box is clean, solid and structurally sound, with only minor signs of age and careful storage. Visually very attractive and impressive, especially considering the age and size of the box.
Provenance: From the private archive of a Frankfurt physician and serious classical music collector. The condition and completeness clearly reflect careful archival ownership.
