NEIL YOUNG RARE ORIG MIX S/T NO NAME WLP DJ PROMO GF LP
From January 1969 comes this original white label promo pressing of Neil Young's self-titled solo debut LP (Reprise RS 6317). With matrix numbers of 30817 RS6317 A - 1B on side one and 30212 RS 6317 B -1D on side two, this LP holds the original mix as opposed to the remix Neil did a few months later to bring up his vocals a bit in addition to a few more overdubs - those copies will have a "RE-1" in their dead wax and a banner reading "Neil Young" at the top of the front cover. As this was Neil's poorest selling LP (his only album that failed to chart), original pressings are quite scarce and - especially considering the rare original mix - very in-demand, so don't sleep on this one. The gatefold sleeve is very good plus due to some ring and edge wear (including some minor chipping), an inch-long seam split in its upper left-hand corner, a bit of scuffing, a former owner's name (as opposed to Neil's!) written in the upper left-hand corner, a few small spots of discoloration, and a 6" strip of cellophane tape along the center of its spine that a former owner used to repair some splitting. The LP itself is housed in its original stock Reprise company innersleeve and is very good plus as well.
To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
