FOR SALE - CLASSIC 1977 DOUBLE A SIDE PUNK SINGLE from NEON HEARTS 'REGULATIONS / VENUS ECCENTRIC' - Neon Hearts Records Neon 001 FULLY SIGNED BY WHOLE BAND
This single is just one of a large collection of classic punk vinyl that I will reluctantly be selling over the next few weeks. Most of my items were bought from new & have generally been extremely well looked after. I can only grade visually as I don't have any means to play the records. The collection has been safely & securely stored for a good number of years, and now I have made the difficult decision to part with it.
This single is in reasonable condition for a recording that is almost 40 years old. It has a certain sentimental value because Neon Hearts were my local punk band in Wolverhampton back in the day. This single was given to me by the father of the bass player Paul Raven, who I think was handling the band at the time, and he personally got the whole band to sign the sleeve for me. Paul Raven famously went on to play bass for Killing Joke & Prong among others and has now sadly passed away. I believe Steve Heart played with Suburban Studs at some point. Because of the unique & irreplaceable nature of this item, I've set a higher start price for the auction.
The sleeve is not in particularly good condition, with some creases & signs of wear. I think it came to me in an imperfect state to begin with & the fact that it's an outsized sleeve hasn't helped over the years! That said the band signatures are still clearly legible. The vinyl is housed in a plain inner paper sleeve & is in very good condition. No notable scratches, marks, scuffs whatsoever, still a really nice sheen to it. As the photos hopefully show, the spindle hole is almost unmarked, this single only having been played a handful of times. Not absolutely sure why the Side 1 & Side 2 have been crossed out. The single came like that, seem to recall it was the band's doing because they put the record out on their own label and very much wanted the record to be seen as a double A side with equal billing given to both tracks. Assume was just a printing faux pas at the time!
All items will be posted out 2nd Class signed for. They will be housed in tailor made cardboard packaging to offer maximum protection to the vinyl. Every effort will be made to get your record(s) to you in the condition they leave my hands. All items from a smoke free environment incidentally. I am also happy to ship internationally. Please keep an eye out for further items which as I say will be listed in due course when I get the chance to process them!
