Description
Quite possibly the greatest album of all time, I bought this incredible LP unheard on the back of a rave review in Lime Lizard magazine. This sale a copy of that review, along with another from Melody Maker which ‘sealed the deal’, as well as the Alternative Tentacles merch catalogue (Spring 1992) and the original lyric which came with the album. This is the UK pressing, and has been in my collection since purchase in 1992.
Play-testing this rare LP recently for the first time in over thirty years, there is some audible crackle/surface noise and the occasional ‘pop’ at times, particularly on the quiet opening passages of the first track on each side, but there are no skips/jumps or other defects on playback (so I would grade it at VG), and (thanks in part to Jello Biafra’s mixing skills) the power and impact of the album are as great now as they were in 1992 (to say nothing of the continued lyrical relevance). The LP cover is in VG+ condition, with no splits or tears, just some minor scuffing and wear to the corners and to the bottom edge.
