This is a NEW, Factory Sealed, rare, out-of-print 2016 Music on Vinyl LP “Indigo Girls” album first released in 1989 (MOVLP1646). This album was meticulously made by Music on Vinyl (MOV) in Europe (one of the best vinyl factories in the world, in the Netherlands) with a world class pressing process for Sony Music to be rereleased on a modern AUDIOPHILE 180 gram black vinyl. This is a timeless album that will sound crisp, clear, and true to the recording with the MOV process and quality pressing in Europe. If anyone knows the quality of Music on Vinyl, they know that their audiophile albums come in resealable mylar bags with the quality assurance sticker on it from Music on Vinyl assuring quality from the most prolific vinyl reissue label in the world! This album has never been played and I only took it out of the mylar bag for photo purposes. There may be some distortion in the pictures due to the mylar bag, but everything is new and pristine!
There are many audiophile companies out there who use analogue master tapes and employ a completely analogue chain, Music On Vinyl is one of these. For full albums, MOV uses a DMM cutter which allows you to cut smaller grooves direct to a blank copper plate but the process retains a full, deep, bass with extended upper frequencies providing a wider dynamic range than a standard cutting process can support and, because the MOV DMM machine is a rare, late generation, model you don’t hear the early generational DMM drawbacks of bright upper mids and trashy trebles. MOV even makes its own copper blanks for the DMM cutter, treated to remain soft (for a quieter cut) and produced to a high gloss standard (to prevent air bubbles). Marvelous! Music On Vinyl has fast become the cornerstone of the vinyl reissue business and is going from strength to strength. With production standards high, playback output absolutely top notch, coupled with a fresh and always interesting release selection, MOV’s next few years promises to be an exciting time.

Indigo Girls
Indigo Girls is the second studio album and first major label release by the Indigo Girls. It was originally released in 1989 on Epic Records. It was reissued and remastered in 2000 with two bonus tracks. The album received mostly excellent critical reviews, went gold after six months and eventually went platinum. The duo was nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy (losing to Milli Vanilli), and won one for Best Contemporary Folk Recording. Michael Stipe sang on "Kid Fears", and the other members of R.E.M. performed on "Tried to Be True". In addition, the Irish band Hothouse Flowers backed the duo on several tracks, notably "Closer to Fine".
"Closer to Fine" is one of their most frequently performed songs, and is often their closing number in their live concerts.
