The New Riders Of The Purple Sage released their fourth studio album "The Adventures Of Panama Red" in October 1973 on Columbia Records. Special guests on the album include Donna Jean Godchaux, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and the Memphis Horns. It is considered the band's best record and includes the hit single "Panama Red. The New Riders started in the early 1960's and often included Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Robert Hunter and other members of the Grateful Dead family in its earliest line-ups.

This copy of (KC 32450) is from the First Pressing and is in excellent condition. The gatefold cover shows still has its gloss and shows only the slightest wear and is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was produced by Norbert Putnam and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif. The Side One dead wax is etched S1 PAL 32450-1B 0 B5.

In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 48 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
