Description
I am selling The New Tweedy Bros. original pressing of their very rare record on Ridon number 234 made in 1968. They're an awesome acid psych band of the 60's from the west coast. The original cover is very rare. There was a more common version of the LP without the oversized silver foil sugar cube shaped cover pictured. If you're a true collector, this is the version you are looking for. This is not the Shadoks reissue! The cover and record are in VG condition. Common among this version, this fragile cover has creasing on the outside corners pictured in detail and minor scuffs on the shiny silver surface. The record disc has some light scuffs on each side. Groove wear is apparent on song 3 on both side a and side b. The disc has a very slight warp that will not affect play. There are a few spindle marks around the label on the record on each side. I'm very tough on grading and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised when you see what a nice copy you've received! GRADING I use Goldmine’s standards. Very Good (VG) Generally worth 25 percent of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them. GENERAL INFO Paypal only please. Payment due within 7 days of auction’s close. Shipping to continental U.S. only. Unfortunately, this excludes Canada, Hawaii and Alaska.
