Notes/Comments:   These early 2 track (1/2 track) tapes sound far superior to the newer 4 track reel tapes. For one, they were duplicated at very slow speeds because the production process technology was not advanced enough to speed up the process.

Reel Condition:  I have 100 percent play tested this tape. There are no dropouts and no noisy spots. The label is excellent and the plastic reel is clear, not yellowed. NOTE: There is no label on this reel as they were sometimes made that way in the 1950s. Guaranteed that this is the original tape that came in the box shown.

Box Condition:  No broken box corners, hinge is intact, box interior is yellowed, box does not smell, no writing on the box. Front artwork is rated 9 on10 scale due to minor wear spot. The rear is rated 8.5 on 10 scale due to some discoloration. Spine label has some soiling. Tape sticker on front of the box is partially missing. Overall a very nice box.

Packaging:    Leader tape (3M timing) has been added to both end of the tape. The leadered end is secured in the reel with soft foam to keep the tape from unwinding during storage and shipment. Foam inserts are placed around the reel in the reel box to prevent the reel from rattling around during shipment. The tape will be inside of a new plastic bag and the box will be also.
