NEW YORK ROCKS 1983 ~ WAPP The Apple FM 103.5 ~ catalog # RTR-8251, (p) 1982 Starstream Records.

Rare hard rock private press compilation from 1983 sponsored by Apple FM 103.5. Includes very early John Bongiovi with “Runaway” with a different mix, pre-dating his debut release on Mercury Records in 1984. Also features a track from Twisted Sister with “Shoot ‘Em Down”, plus well known local bands Mazarin and DC Star.

As printed on back cover jacket, "NEW YORK CITY, The rock capital of the world. With all the talent this city has to offer, we at WAPP decided to hightlight some of NEW YORK'S finest LOCAL rock talent...". 12-inch LP stereo vinyl record is pristine 'near mint'.
