I am auctioning the now world famous Newcastle Big Bands 1st and only LP, this record was privately pressed just 20 miles up the road from where I live, yet , due to the numbers actually pressed is even a hard to find record here! Made at Impulse Studios this was limited according to the Record Collector book to 2,000 copies, however I have it on good authority from a gentleman in Tynemouth here in the North East, who had a hand in production of this record, it was suggested to me that they pressed about 2,000 covers, but actually at the time sold far far less, possibly only 100's were sold, mainly at gigs.
VINYL = VG+ this record does have a few light marks and hairlines, I am grading this under a spotlight, the labels are also in very good condition with no writing or tears.
COVER = VG+ as these covers were never laminated and were pressed on inferior white card (probably because of production costs) they did not wear well, this cover is not bad though it has no rips or tears, the spine and edges are all intact and has no writing on it, although because of the quality of the card,does show signs of yellowing and ring wear. This all sounds terrible but I can assure you it isn't, this LP is ultra rare and to find a copy at all is pretty good!!
