Description
This is a fine original U.K. pressing copy of the debut LP by British avant garde/RIO group News from Babel, released in 1984. The group unites two alumni from the Art Bears, Dagmar Krause (also Slapp Happy) and Chris Cutler (also Henry Cow), with Henry Cow alumna Lindsay Cooper and Skeleton Crew member Zeena Parkins. The foldout paper sleeve has corner creasing and wear, and light creasing and wear along the edges (EX). The disc is clean with a little light scraping and scuffing, and plays with a little light surface noise on side 1 and like new on side 2 -- overall a strong M-. This copy lacks the booklet and band history insert.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
