Nick Drake with his classic 1972 release "Pink Moon" released on Island Records, SMAS-9318. This is the original pressing of this album; however it has some cosmetic issues - mainly with the jacket. Reason being, this particular copy belonged to the KZSU radio station, which broadcasts from Stanford University in Stanford (Palo Alto), CA on 90.1 FM. So, someone has made it clear that this was the radio station copy by writing "KZSU" all over the jacket and on the label of the disc. Also, there is a catalog sticker on the front (upper left) along with a punch hole in the upper right corner, meaning it was being used for promotional purposes at the radio station. However, the vinyl is still in very good condition. I converted the entire album to mp3 with my USB turntable and the results are fantastic. So, while the jacket shows wear and overall it has some cosmetic issues, the disc itself is well worth your bid. It is still an extremely rare album and it is reported that less than 5,000 of these were sold when it was originally released. See pics and detailed grading description below.

I can burn all records onto a blank disc for you using a USB turntable, and also separate and name each individual track. Additionally, I will use a software filter to remove background noise. If you would like a copy of the actual album you are bidding on transferred and burned to digital format, please let me know at the end of the auction. I charge $8 per record/disc - it is a tedious process and takes a minimum of one hour. $8/hour = is that even minimum wage? In any case, I enjoy listening to the albums and I could care less about making money. It's a break even deal that gives both of us precious time with our music. And that's priceless ;-)

Jacket

6 VG (Shows some visible shelfwear/ringwear. The letters KZSU have been written throughout the jacket 5 times. Five. Yes, whoever did this, we get the point! Punch hole in upper right corner. Sticker used for alphabetical sorting at the station in the upper left. See pics for more detail. Gets a 6/10 for still being fully intact.)

Vinyl

7 VG+ (A few light surface scratches, nothing deep. Absolutely no skips and only minimal background noise while listening. Of course, the call letters of the station are written on the label. At this point, we obviously know who this belonged to! If you can deal with the cosmetic issues, you will be getting a sufficient copy of this classic album. Well worth the starting bid of $3.)

Includes plain white inner sleeve (Believe it or not, there is NO writing on it!).

1 = Poor, 3 = Fair, 4 = G, 5= VG-, 6 = VG, 7 = VG+, 8 = EX, 9 = Nr Mint, 10 = Mint

I RARELY SELL ANYTHING BELOW A 5/VG- GRADE.

VG- (5) : Moderate wear and scratches, maybe a skip or two or three. 

VG (6) : Will have a fair amount of visible scratches/scuffs/playmarks and there is a possibility of surface noise, but no skips.

VG+ (7) : You can tell it's used, but will play through just fine.

EX (8) : Someone has cared for this LP very nicely. Maybe only 1 or 2 light blemishes. Or 3 if it's 20+ years old. Will sound great.)

Nr MINT (9) : Like new.

MINT (10) : New. Sealed. Pristine.

I CLEAN ALL OF MY RECORDS BEFORE THEY GO UP ON EBAY! Aren't I a nice guy? I use D4 solution and a cleaning brush and finish it off with an anti-static microfiber cloth. The LP will be nice and shiny, free of prints, and ready to go directly to your turntable. (*Please remember - cleaning doesn't remove scratches, so please read the grading and condition section carefully)
