NIGHTSHADOW (LITTLE PHIL & THE NIGHTSHADOWS) - "Square Root of Two" LP, on the Spectrum label, ST 2001, stereo, from 1968. This is a mega-rare original US private pressing of a killer acid fuzz underground garage psych album. One of the very best and rarest US psych LPs from the 60's, not much can even compare. Only 1,000 copies originally pressed, so its ultra rare forever. Not many known copies are even in the hands of collectors. This copy does not have the 45 or poster. The awesome cover is in EX condition. Fantastic psych cover art, and nice thick cover too. The disc is still very shiny, and looks a decent VG condition, with mostly light surface scuffs and light hairline marks. On the 2nd track on side one, on song, "I Can't Believe", there is what looks like and feels like a little dig (small tiny hole), maybe a pressing defect, not sure, but it plays throught it with no skips. But it plays with light ticks for about 20 seconds, thru that part. The rest of the record plays really great with occasional light crackles in spots, really not disturbing. To be strict, I would grade the disc like I see it, VG condition, not trashed at all. The music is really awesome garage acid fuzz psych at its best!!
