Description

NINA SIMONE BEST OF, MISSISSIPPI GODDAMN 1969 LP EXC Vinyl Record PHS-600-298

Offering a super clean EXC copy of "The Best Of Nina Simone", released in 1969 on Philips label.  This compilation features "Mississippi Goddamn", which our research believes can only be found on one other album (her 1st Philips recording, "Nina Simone In Concert", composed of three live Carnegie Hall performances in April, 1964.  Ms. Simone later announced the anthem "Mississippi Goddamn" to be her "first civil rights song".)  This iconic, timeless compilation by an American legend is not to be missed!

Vinyl: EXC;  Cover: VG+;  Sleeve: VG.  Please see description for details.  We use Goldmine system to guide our grading.

• Vinyl EXC condition.  Extremely clean, glossy and flat.  Center labels clean and vibrant.  Observed about 4 very, very faint lines and extremely faint scuff areas, none of which could be felt with a soft, clean fingertip (not fingernail!).  Audio clip available upon request if you have any concerns.

• Cover is VG+ condition.  Very clean, no folds, bends, creases or hand markings.  Spine is in excellent condition. Minor edge wear, corner wear mostly on top and bottom.  A touch of ring wear.  ~1.75" split from top opening corner.  White fabric sticker on back upper right.  See photos for details.

• Sleeve VG condition.  Clean sleeve, no tears or hand markings.  Flattened corner folds; splits on center ~2.5" one side, ~3" bottom.  Age appropriate discoloration.  See photos for details.  A new, clean, plain white paper sleeve has been provided for storage (not pictured).

See photos for details on all.  Images may have a color cast slightly different than actual item, but are close.

Take away this amazing, EXC 1969 copy of "The Best Of Nina Simone" featuring "Mississippi Goddamn" for yourself or someone special.  This will make a wonderful addition to any jazz, music history, history and 1960's collection.  Thanks for looking. Happy Bidding!
