Description
Here is a very rare item. This lot includes a original copy of NIRVANA's SILVER b/w DIVE (green vinyl) and a test pressing of this same recording. I am selling a number of rare items for my friend. He worked at Sub Pop in the late 1980's and was able to acquire a test pressing. Both record are in excellent condition. They have clean labels, excellent sheen and track/sound great. .I would grade them VG+++ or NM. The sleeve is also in extremely fine condition. There are no rips, tears, ringwear or writing. In my opinion the test pressing fidelity is superior to the standard release. This is your opportunity to acquire a great piece of Nirvana history.
I am offering a number of other rare SUB POP recordings, in addition to a number of scarce grunge, rock and punk 7 inches. This collection belonged to JON SNYDER. He attended school at Evergreen College in the late 1980's and erly 1990's and was very involved in the Seattle music scene. He worked at Sub Pop and collected these records through his involvement with the music industry. Some of his notable achievements include the first video footage (which took place at Evergreen College North of Seattle) of Nirvana with drummer Dave Grohl. This video is used in the Nirvana video collection called "With The LIghts Out". His also was used as a source in the Charles Cross "Heavier Than Heaven" Nirvana book and is qouted on page 148. All of the record being offered are the legitimate article, there are no bootlegs, reissues, or counterfiets.
All record are sent via USPS. They will be well packaged and must be insured for full value. International shipping is avaiable to certain locals. International shipping is available via USPS international first class mail as long as the auction value does not exceed $75.00 dollars. Everything over $75.00 dollars must be sent via International Priority mail and insured. I cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items. I can combine like items and offer reduced shipping rates. If you win more than one auction you will save on shipping.
On Sep-02-08 at 10:05:41 PDT, seller added the following information: There have been a lot of requests for the Dead Wax Codes. Here they are: L-36293-X SP-73-A (the other side reads B) plus the letters KDIVE and one other small alphanumeric code which I can't make out. It starts with an L and is three characters long. The Tupelo recording has the catalog number TUP-25. I believe this recording is a Sub Pop test pressing. I don't know exactly what if any affiliation it has with the Tupelo recording. These records were teamed together in the same plastic sleeve when I was giving them. My friend worked at Sup Pop and I am not sure of the lineage as to when he acquired this test pressing. It was in the late 80's. I am not sure if this 45 was original released on Sub Pop or Tupelo. I know it was available on both labels.
