Up for sale is a rare three record book of
HANDEL
MESSIAH Oratorio
Featuring: Margaret Ritchie- Soprano, Constance
Shacklock- Contralto, Thomas Matthews- Violin,
William Herbet- Tenor, Richard Standen- Bass,
George Eskdale- Trumpet
and
London Philharmonic Choir
Chorus Master- Frederick Jackson
London Symphony Orchestra
Conducted by Hermann Scherchen

Circa 1959
The record booklet has some corner damage & some ink
missing here & there, some wear on reverse. The booklet
contains 3 cardboard pouches containing the records
On the inside cover at the top is a small water stain &
written in pencil at the top left hand side is the price paid
for the set- 8 pounds 13 Shillings & threepence
The LP records are graded Very Good+ condition. When
looking at them in normal light, you can see some minor
tiny marks in just a couple of spots

These records are the
really thick old type with deep grooves & they play well
even with surface hairlines, they seem to have little
effect on playback quality
-
When viewed at an angle in artificial light there are a few
fine, light, minor surface hairlines here & there that do not
affect the quality of play
The record labels have some wear in the form of ink loss
