Description

This is NOT a Record Store re-issue. It is the debut single from 1966 by THE CHOCOLATE
WATCH BAND, a garage rock/Psych group formed in 1965 in San Jose, California. They
broke up in 1970 after recording and releasing three singles and three Long Play albums.
This 45 at auction is the first single and the rarest of the three. It is "BABY BLUE" b/w
"SWEET YOUNG THING". "BABY BLUE" was written by Bob Dylan, and "SWEET YOUNG
THING" (sounding like Mick and The Stones) was written by Ed Cobb, who produced both
sides. It is on the UPTOWN RECORDS black label 740, and is played by a second incar-
nation of the band, consisting of Mark Loomis (lead guitar), David Aguilar (vocals and front-
man), Sean Tolby (rhythm guitar), Bill Flores (bass guitar), and Gary Andrijasevich (drums).
The labels and vinyl look, play, and sound great. No need to upgrade from this one, unless
you can find a new, unplayed stock record.
