NM BUDAPEST STRING QUARTET Volumes I, II and III BEETHOVEN QUARTETS COLUMBIA MASTERWORKS 12 Total Record LP's set recorded 1952. Acquired from the estate of a retired Minister, these are ALL, one owner, Classical LP's, vinyl is in glossy, Near Mint Pristine condition with no scratches/marks and in their original individual cellophane and cardboard sleeves. SL - 172, SL - 173 and SL - 174. Early Quartets, Middle Quartets, Late Quartets
All selections were played on priceless Stradivari instruments over 200 years old on loan from the Gertrude Clarke Whittall Foundation. Recorded in the Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge Auditorium of The Library of Congress May, 1952.
(Joseph Roisman, First Violin; Jac Gorodetzky, Second Violin; Boris Kroyt, Viola; Mischa Schneider, Violoncello) I listened to two of the LP's start to finish and was amazed at the resonant and detailed sound of these classic recordings.
Volume II is missing the main outer case - but has all 4 cardboard inner sleeves and cellophane - no splits
Volume I Lp's case has normal foxing but no splits - all 3 cardboard inner sleeves and cellophane in nice condition - no splits
Volume III Lp's case has splits halfway back top and bottom - all 5 cardboard inner sleeves and cellophane in nice condition - no splits
All Columbia Masterworks 6 Eye labels are in NM condition
Because of the rarity, condition and the number of the LP's involved, this set is sold AS IS - WITH NO RETURNS. Though the vast majority of Ebay users are very honest, I can't afford to have Lp's switched, intentionally or otherwise, then returned to me diminishing the value of the set.
