This is the rare original first globes white label first pressing of the Tamla/Motown Special #1 featuring the Miracles, Barrett Strong, Mary Wells and Singin' Sammy & Sherry on Tamla 224 released in 1961. This was only the fourth LP released by Tamla, which was Berry Gordy's first label that released LP's. This is also the first LP to feature Barrett Strong's hit, "Money." The Miracles and Mary Wells would later become part of the Motortown Revue which toured with R&B legends such as James Brown and Ray Charles and influnced British Invasion Artists as the the Beatles.

VINYL

With full & very shiny gloss and great high fidelity, this LP grades NM- with a few very faint hairline sleeve scuffs that in no way affect play. This LP has obviously been played minimally.

COVER

With vibrant colors and no age discoloration is VG+ with some seam and very minor ring wear and some minor staining on back cover.

This LP is very difficult to find in any condition, so don't let this very rare original gem at a low starting bid and a no reserve pass you by!! I am a conservative careful grader (check my feedback) who guarantees (for 14 days after auction is over) everything I sell.
