Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 22,000+ positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. • Without much dispute,"The Missing Links" are the wildest 60's group ever produced. They were also pioneers; the first true rebels of rock, of the first bands known to use feedback, of the first bands which can be labeled "garage-punk". They were wild on stage AND vinyl as irreverent innovators.
"The Missing Links"' are acknowledged as of the first recorded bands to deliberately use feedback as part of their music, and they were almost certainly the first local band to use reverse tape effects on vinyl.

  • The Missing Links" were one of the first bands to tap into the tough 1965 blues/R&B style being pioneered by "The Rolling Stones", "The Pretty Things" and "The Yardbirds". They were writing and playing their own extraordinary original material, including a selection of highly-charged improvements on recordings as diverse as "Bo Diddley", "James Brown" and "Bob Dylan".
  •
  • Right from the start, "Wild About You" sets the albums frantic tone, while "You're Driving Me Insane" is HEAVY in every sense of the word. It's rightly regarded as one of the greatest 60's rock recordings - ever.
"You're Driving Me Insane" is firmly rooted in blues and R&B, pre-dating whole slabs of sixties rock recordings which were yet to come. Their buzzing guitar feedback and echo-laden "Farfisa Compact Organ" anticipates "Pink Floyd" by a good two years. Pre-"Masters Apprentices" Doug Ford's
pure heavy metal slashing guitar infuses along with a strong psychedelic feel within the whole affair.

  • "H'Tuom Tuhs" is in fact the band's backwards version of "Bo Diddley's "Mama Keep Your Big Mouth Shut". It is surely one of the earliest uses of reverse tape in rock history, beating The Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows" on vinyl by a good twelve months. Their forwards version is also featured delivering brutal knife-scraping guitar effects ever to be heard!

  • The original Missing Links Lp is one of the rarest of all garage psych Lp's and rarely if at all do mint copies turn up available.

  • All said "The Missing Links" LP remains one of the most savage/primal albums from the 60s comprising the group's blitzkrieg originals, including the intense "All I Want" and
virtually all the rest!   Plus classic moody "Not To Bother Me"
