PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
LPs are a stunning near mint minus with the exception of side 2, which is a beautiful VG++ with 2 barely visible light paper scuffs that only be seen at a certain angle under a bright light. Cover is a gorgeous VG++/NM- with barely a hint of ring. Includes beautiful original full color printed inner sleeves with complete lyrics. You will not be disappointed. Now for the real reason you're reading this. A pair of insanely rare original 12 X 12 two-sided in-store promotional displays issued by Elektra Records in 1987. These were purchased from a former Tower Records (R.I.P.) manager whose absolute favorite band was The Cure and decided to keep a pair from the Tower wall for her own private collection (which was staggeringly impressive). She told me that 99% of these displays were either tossed after they were displayed or never displayed at all and then tossed. Staff saw them as disposable swag and clutter and as a result VERY few survived from the 80s. Rare as hens teeth. These are the kinds of items Cure fans are going to be fighting over in the very near future so don't sleep. You will never see another lot like this again. Displays have NO splits, tears or bends and a few tiny staple holes as these were unquestioningly used to promote the LP on the Tower walls here in Chicago back in '87.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
