Extremely scarce private pressing from the early 80s DIY era. Unique tracks by some of the most famous DIYers: DIGITAL DINOSAURS, MISSING PERSONS, LEN LIGGINS, PRODUCT OF REASON (also known from the "Household shocks" compilation).

Original song writing and composition with a refreshing naivety, simplicity and relevance from a time when young people grew up in the shadow of perceived imminent nuclear annihilation - listening to this album is like looking through a window into the past.

Inscribed in the run-out grooves:

ACUTE : HOOK-1-A1 : GRAVE : HOOK-1-B1

"TWO BOMBS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT" - ROCK N' ROLL IS DEAD" - "PORKY PRIME CUTS"

Comes complete with 12 page 'home made' magazine, using stapled A4 paper (the staples are now slightly rusty, testifying to the authenticity of the item.

"This record was co-operatively financed by the groups who appear on it; each group (or individual) providing their own finished master tape and magazine artwork, and taking responsibility for distributing at least 35 albums. The total cost of the project was about 600 GBP...magazine and labels done at the local copy shop (70 GBP). Delivery to contributors and other costs...20 GBP." (taken from the back of the magazine which comes with the LP.

Condition

Vinyl : excellent - apart from a couple of scratches on track 2 (side Grave) which cause repeated clicking for about 30 seconds and some muffled background noise. There are a couple of other marks (track 3 & 8, side Grave and on side Acute) not adversely affecting the sound quality. I think some of these may have been caused by the staples from the booklet. Otherwise the vinyl is excellent and retains it's as new sheen. It has not been overplayed.

Labels : as new.

Sleeve :  excellent -: light ring wear to front and back, otherwise front and back are clean and bright - the spine is sound and intact but with a small crease  partially obscuring the word 'Platform' in the title towards the top of the spine - there is slight wear to the corners and edges - and small areas of creasing -there are a couple of bumps with surface wear to them on the back cover. I conjecture that they may have been caused by the staples from the booklet wearing through, where the record has been stored on it's side - otherwise there are no splits tears writing, marks or other major imperfections.

Comes with plain white die cut inner.
