Description
It's coming up to 6 years now since well-known Sydney record collector George Crotty passed away (many of you will know of him - he was a gem of a person, and a large personality too), and aside from the obvious sadness involved in all that, he was renowned for having one of the largest collections of vinyl here. His forte was 60's Garage, Beat, Punk & Psychedelic 7"s, EPs and LPs (especially of Australian artists) - which he'd gathered together meticulously and carefully for longer than the 36 year period I'd known him.
I was lucky enough to buy his records soon after he died.
Apart from his own personal collection, he had a garage full of singles (and another of LP's). All these 45's were kept in large boxes (200 x 7"s per box...and there were several HUNDRED boxes)...arranged via labels - there were 4 of these boxes devoted to Australian-pressed Columbia singles, for instance. You get the idea.
I sold some his own stuff, in the categories mentioned above, but have never gone near the boxes from his garage.
Until now.
You'll find a mish-mash of styles in these listings, and although most are on major labels, there are many that sold in the tiniest of quantities. In my work with some major labels in the past, I've been lucky enough to see the very same final in-house sales charts (from the 60's through to the late 80's) from which reports were made to the artist and music publishers (like royalty statements)...many 45s which had no chart success sold in quantities here, of between 50 and 200 - in fact that was common. I saw some reports where less than TEN were sold...ever. All unsold stock at the time was melted down and recycled. Just saying this so you get the idea of just HOW rare some of the lesser known items can be. Then there's the common ones too of course.
Anyway, the below single is from the above collection.

...on PHILIPS (catalogue #: BF-408)...pressed in Australia...made and distributed independently by Phonogram Recordings Pty. Ltd. here...original first pressing...1968...never in pic sleeve here, comes in original Aussie Phonogram company sleeve...
'A' side is friggin' AWESOME psych, with a slight folk edge - way more psych than folk though...has killer guitar all through...fuzztone...some superb trippy phasing, and superb production...both songs written by Sven Libaek. CONDITION:
VINYL: ( VG++ )...lots of original shine!...with a few very light 'hair-line' marks/scuffs only...some crackles on the instrumental Side Two, but 'A' side plays near perfectly...such great condition!...
LABELS: (Side One: M- / Side Two: EX )...has radio station call-sign written (small) on Side Two label...
PACKAGING AND MAILING: Absolutely ALL care will be taken when packaging this - packed in a sealed outer polyethylene sleeve between layers of strong very flat and thick card - I've been doing this quite a while now, and have an excellent record for safe shipping...(see feedback)...

I do highly recommend paying for registered postage as you/I cannot track an item sent by regular postage. Registering the package will cost an extra AU$3.70 for domestic mail (i.e. within Australia), and AU$7.00 on international postage. For peace of mind, it is well worth it.
All packages with combined total contents worth $75 or over will only be sent registered / signed for, and I'll add that amount onto your invoice.
I do combine postage for multiple items, and the deal is good. The general guide is here below, but I can quite often squeeze (very safely!), say 3 x 7"s into a parcel for the same cost as two...and for, say, five or six 7"s, for example, could send two parcels at that very low rate.
