NORMAL DAY: Somebody Said / Angelina, Angelina
PRIVATE BRS-007 UK 1980 7" (no ps exist)
Super scarce DIY powerpop-ish mod new wave single. Although this is undated, BRS-007 code leads to the assumption that this is from 1980. The sound is really amateur-ish ska-ish mod, reminds a bit of the Q-Tips but much more DIY. Well, the label logo with the window frame refers to the great 'Angst in my pants' dbl compilation 7"s with Instant Automatons and other great indie acts (strangely from the same year -1980), but not sure if any really relation or the 'window' logo is just a coinsidence. Really great and obscure private release, a 'must' for the late '70s/early '80s DIY collection. Recently discovered and hardly seen for sale. Very clean copy. All copies are mispressed with reversed labels.
