Condition:    Record is M-, with a DJ date stamp on one side of the label.   Original letter from Jerry Ross Productions is EXCELLENT.


Description

This is the 1969 update by Damita Jo, the one that has received Northern soul spins... not the "old" sounding early '60s version on Mercury.  The best part is the original note from Art Ross, of Jerry Ross Productions in New York.  Art dropped a note to legendary WLOF music director Bill Vermillion, urging him to call after checking out the record.  In Ross' words, "I think it's a hit."  It didn't quite turn out that way!
