NOTES: "Sam Otis Ambrose" was born on April 5, 1940 in Miami, Florida. "Sammy Ambrose" was one of Florida's Soul Artists who made his way to N.Y.C. in the 60's where he made a name for himself and cut some records on a few labels. This was a cat who could sing anything, outdance ayone, and played almost ever instrument in the band. Versatile and hardworking on stage. He worked at all the popular clubs in N.Y. and around the metroploitan area, as well as the Jewish Resorts in the Caskill Mountains and Lakewood down the Jersey Shore, New England, & Florida.
WE USE GOLDMINE STANDARDS FOR GRADING. COVER AND VINYL ARE VISUALLY GRADED ONLY.
Near Mint (NM or M-) a nearly perfect record. No obvious signs, of wear. Only signs of slight handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Some signs of wear, slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect play. Label may have some ring wear, discoloration but barely noticeable. Cover may show slight wear such as lightly turned up corners & slight seam split. LP cover may have slight signs of wear.
Very Good (VG) Many of the defects found in VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record. Groove wear will start to be noticeable. Labels may have writing, tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of sleeves or LP cover.
Good(G), Good Plus (G+) Record will play without skipping, but will have surface noise, scratches and visible groove wear.
Cover will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear will be evident.
