Musique Electronique Norvegienne LP

One of the rarest Philips Prospctive 21 Siecle series records out there(have a look at my other auctions for more electronic stuff and other records from the series plus Arne Nordheim)!!
Arne Nordheim, Alfred Janson and Bjorn Fongaard reveal on this record some of the aspects of new electronic music in Norway in the early 60's!! Nordheim was the first of the three to compose electronic pieces in the country after a short stay in Paris back in 1955 and meeting with the new media and possibilities it offered. Here one can find 2 of his most well known works : "Epitaffio for magnetic band and orchestra" and "Response I for magnetic band and 2 groups of percussionists". Quite interesting are the 2 other pieces, "galaxy for 3 electronic guitars and quartertones" from bjorn Fongaard and "Canon for magnetic tape and chamber orchestra" from Alfred Janson.
A fantastic record with great silver effect cover, white back cover(silver back covers were later pressings) and blue BIEM labels. Reminds some of the best moments of Pierre Henry, Parmegiani, Stockhausen, Lejeune. Just impossible to find a copy of this nowdays, one of the most hard to find albums in the series!!
Excellent- condition for cover, only good condition for vinyl(my lowest possible grade for vinyls), which appears a "dirt-like" effect also present in many Philips silver cover pressings, which provokes a background noise all along, making this a starter's copy, so please bid accordingly to that . A must have album for fans of electronic, experimental, sound installations, broken music, art records, Malec, Detoni, Stockhausen, Miereanu, Reibel, Lejeune, Lasry-Baschet, Bertoia, Panhuysen, Hermann Nitsch, Nam June Paik, LaMonte Young, Terry Riley, Yoshi Wada, Charlemagne Palestine, Ellen Fullman, Cristina Kubisch, Fluxus, Joseph Beuys Nurse with wound, Tony Conrad, Leif Ellgrenn, Hausswolff, Shandar, Trevor Wishart, Parmegiani!!! So, grab this now!!!
