Description
Unique and very rare version of the Nurse With Wound compilation Automating Vol. 1 - this is a promotional art edition which was sent to record distributors and the like, and was never offered for sale to collectors.
The handmade 'sleeve' is actually a card LP mailer of the envelope style that is common here in the UK , on the front of which is attached two pieces of a broken 12" record over-painted in a blue and orange symbol design. Also on the front is a small piece of mounted photo-art, and ink stampings. Each copy has a different and unique presentation.
The back of the mailer features a pasted-on group NWW photo and three signatures - Steven Stapleton, Diana Rodgerson, and David Tibet (here using his 'penis sig'), along with further stampings.
The vinyl is a white label testpress, in a plain inner sleeve, with a contemporary United Dairies stock availability info sheet stapled on.
This version was made in an edition of 35 copies only of which this is example #29. Given the nature of this 'release' it is likely that very few copies survive.
The vinyl is in excellent condition, clean and undamaged - near mint. The front of the sleeve has an area of damage to the top right as can be seen in the photos below. wether this was present or not when the sleeve was actually constructed, or later damage is unknown. There is also a bend along the top of the sleeve (above the level of the record).
Will be sent well-protected in the finest card-mailer available, designed with overhang to prevent any further damage.
As an odd/over-sized item, combined shipping would likely not be possible in this case.
Due to the value and rarity of this release it will be sent via registered post only. Reference code will be sent to the winning bidder as soon as the item has been shipped.
