NYL - NYL 1976 FRENCH PROG PSYCH AVANTE SPACE ROCK COLLECTIVE GOLDEN PAVILION LP

NYL – Nyl. Golden Pavilion Records GPMMUSIC 05LP. Portugal release. NEW UNPLAYED VINYL RECORD ALBUM. This item does not come factory sealed and was received in a clear outer mylar sleeve with resealable flap, as shipped by the label. Due to the condition of the outer sleeve as received, I have replaced it and examined the contents (it is 1st state condition) before placing the package inside a new clear outer mylar sleeve with resealable flap. The disc has been placed outside the jacket for shipping.

DETAILS:  Originally issued in 1976 on Urus Records of France. This edition issued in 2018. Comes in a heavy gatefold double pocket cover (nothing in the second pocket) and limited to 500 copies on black vinyl (100 copies were pressed on orange & blue marbled vinyl). French underground prog art rock w/jazzy seasonings. Also includes a spine obi hype insert, though this is a flat sheet (not folded to fit around the jacket spine), so only visible on the front side. NOTED VARIABLES:  The original pressing (a copy of which sits nicely in my collection and provided inspiration in compiling this listing) comes in a single pocket jacket (on the thin side) with a laminated front. Same artwork except this reissue features a gatefold cover with photo and linernotes on the inside of the gatefold, in French, which are unique to this edition (why the second, empty, pocket; I don’t know).  ADDITIONALLY:  The original back cover has “(Thanks Heldon)” printed on the lower right corner and the track Blue Eyes (Revox Tape), as printed on the jacket, is not listed/printed on the Face 2 label (but does appear on the record). This has been corrected for this edition. Just thought I’d pass that along before you drop $150+ on an original pressing.

MUSICIANS:  Stephane Rossini (words & music, drums) and Michel Peteau (words & music, guitar) with Olivier Pamela (vocals, bass on track 1), Bernard Lavialle (guitar), Patric Fontaine (bass on track 4), Elizabeth Wiener (vocals), Loy Ehrlich (clavier), Ariel Kalma (soprano sax), Patrick Quentin (alto sax), Janick Top (bass on tracks 2, 6 & 7) and Dominique Blanc-Franquard (Moog).

THIS ITEM IS NEW AND UNPLAYED. Used items will include condition details for the cover, disc, inserts, etc.

NOTE TO POTENTIAL BUYERS:  If the jacket or disc (unless sealed) is punched, marked, or cut in any manner, denoting a promotional/review copy, I will state that as part of the item description. Also if an issue is a "music club" edition, that will be noted in the item description. (The below information last updated 10/29/24)

If you have any questions or if you have additional information, especially corrections, to the description, please e-mail me. I particularly enjoy when an artist, band member, or someone who has personal background knowledge of a particular album/artist and offers their insight/information of that recording, which I will include with the description for future listings of that release. As a collector of many years, part of the hobby side for me is to learn about the background of the artists and music that I collect. Hopefully, sharing some of this information in my descriptions will help educate and enhance your listening experience.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers with inside packing.

MULTIPLE ITEM PURCHASERS:

A shipping discount will be applied to all multiple item purchases. My automatically generated invoices do not apply discounted shipping (I?m kinda old school). Shipping discounts are automatically applied by two methods:

1)   Complete your purchase via the shopping cart and request an invoice total,

The shipping amount will reflect the discount price for you to make your payment. This method seems to pose some difficulty in navigating to the request invoice link

2)   Purchase and pay the full individual shipping amount and I will automatically refund the shipping discount to you once processed for shipping. (This seems to be the preferred method of my customers)

US customers whose purchase includes CD(s) along with LP(s) will be shipped in a single package via media mail. Purchases of 3 or more CDs or a box-set will ship via media mail.

INTERNATIONAL customers whose purchase includes CD(s) along with LP(s) will be shipped in a single package at the current rate by weight and measurement.

A shipping discount only applies if all items purchased ship in a single package.
