Napalm Death - Scum - 1987 - Original Pressing on Earache Records with Orange Sleeve and Lyric Insert, (MOSH 3).
Napalm Death helped to solidify a new musical style in England during the latter part of the 1980s. They went on to release the uncompromising Scum in 1987 with great acclaim. Combining elements of anarcho punk, hardcore and thrash, initiating an entirely new sub-genre, known as ‘grindcore’. This album still holds its own today.
Recorded at Rich Bitch Studios between 1986 and 1987, with some fantastic sleeve illustration by Jeff Walker of Carcass. Still highly regarded by fans as a classic, even though the fidelity of these recordings might not be the best in the world, they sure make up for it in attitude and spirit.
The album cover is in VG+ condition. Really clean, minor creasing with very light wear. No rips, seam splits, tears or writing.
The inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. Minor creasing with some slight foxing or mottling. No rips, seam splits, tears or writing.
The lyric insert is in VG+ condition. No rips, tears or writing.
The record is in VG condition. It has just recently been deep cleaned, play tested and everything sounds fantastic. Under strong lighting there are quite a few surface marks and scuffs, nothing deep or audible, especially with loud music like this. The labels are clean and free from rips, tears and writing with just a few spindle marks.
The record has been professionally cleaned by myself on a Pro-Ject VC-S2 ALU record cleaning machine and comes supplied with a polypropylene outer sleeve for the album cover and a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab inner sleeve for protection of the record. These sleeves are favoured among audiophiles and collectors alike for long term preservation of vinyl albums.
This package will be sent by Royal Mail. The type of delivery method is: Royal Mail Tracked 24. It will come to a total of £4.19. It is imperative for not just me, but the buyer to have a delivery service with tracking, so we can both make sure the record arrives promptly and safely. It is a small price to pay to avoid any major upset about a missing package.
I will be using a strong mailer with stiffeners and a fragile sticker to ensure that everything is safe and secure before dispatch. The record will be removed from its sleeve and placed behind it to avoid any potential seam splits during transit. This all comes free of charge.
